The couple liked the topsy turvy idea of tilting the cakes so they moved each layer around so it wasn’t perfectly centered. Connie and Philip used a different color for each layer and added rhinestones for some bling. Each layer was a different flavor: red velvet, chocolate mouse, bourbon vanilla, and strawberry champagne.
The groomsmen wore black suits with the tie that matched their bridesmaid: lime green, fuchsia, or purple.
All the bridesmaids had all white flowers to contrast their bright dresses. Connie had a colorful bouquet in contrast to her white gown.
Connie wore a mermaid fitting gown with an added belt and removable strap. For the ceremony she wore the one strap with no belt and for the reception she wore the dress strapless and added the belt. to make it look like two different gowns. It was very form fitting with a huge poof of flowers and crystals similar to a Mexican senorita dress.
Connie wore her hair all to one side with loose curls to accent the one strap of her dress and her custom head piece which was in lieu of a vail. It had lace, crystals, a bow centerpiece and birdcage edges.

Philip was first introduced to one of Connie's friends. The two of them didn't hit it off and the friend kept telling Connie that Philip would be a great guy for her instead. Their mutual friends gave Philip Connie's number, and once they went on a date it sealed the deal! Philip said there was something about Connie and from then on, their feelings only grew stronger.
